In the transitory Rancho Cordova location of Optical Pies Recorders, Knifethruhead ex-guitarist (and ex-bassist of Old Man Homo) Balls McCartney recorded many demos intended for Knifethruhead, playing only to minimal drum machine and adding scratch vocal guide tracks as needed. Some are only single riffs (this EP's track 4 was written around Ashly Roachclip's lyrics "Port-a-Pottie Wading Pool", but was never used and eventually given to Recreational Episiotomy for their theme song); some were eventually recorded with Knifethruhead; and this EP collects the demos found in the most completed state when abandoned. Including the never-before-released "Dong Eagle Fight Song", an ode to a large Knifethruhead stage prop (pictured on the enclosed lyric sheet).
